I really love taking our kids for a stroll around the old part of the town!
If you go from Trida Miru (again, you see it’s all close to each other), you get straight to the Republic Square – Náměstí Republiky. You can see a local theatre (Divadlo) from here as well as Zelená Brána – a tower gate to the old city square, Pernštýnské náměstí.
There’re lots of restaurants and cafés on Pernštýnské náměstí with summer terraces. I’m also looking forward to visiting a Christmas market that will be set up here a bit later.
From the square you can turn straight away to the left, where you would see our favorite ice cream cafe on a tiny street.
Otherwise you can go all the way across the Pernštýnské náměstí and turn left at the end of it. This street would lead you to the local Castle.
There are several other tiny streets in between. I especially like Wernerovo nábřeží, it’s just behind the Magistrát building.
