Handwritten Motivation

I came across a blog post by PhoTrablogger telling that the 23rd of January was a Handwriting day. He asked to remember, when it was the last time that we wrote something by hand in our own language and you know what? I realised, that although I write from time to time in my notebook, I do it in English, as I’m doing this mainly for my blog. So I chose a quote in Russian to show both handwriting in my native language as well as provide you with some inspiration, which would be in tune with my blog.

phraseThis is a quote by Ivan Bunin, the first Russian writer to win the Nobel Prize for Literature. It’s translated as “Three things make a person happy: love, an interesting job and an ability to travel”.

I’m wising you all to be able to have all three of the above ;)

    • Thank you! But the challenge I think is not about writing in another language than English, but just to wrire sonething instead of typing, so you definitely can participate, if you like :)

  1. I love your hand writing! I am of Russian descent. My Mother and Father’s family came from Dreispitz, Russia, somewhere along the Volga River. I was told my Mother was born on a boat coming to America. When I was in the U. S. Air Force I was told that I had family in the Ukraine. I did not know them, but I did not get a top level security clearance either. I love your quote too! I am glad to meet you! Visit me when you can. <3

    • That’s so interesting :) I love hearing stories about ancestors and the routes. I think, you can learn more about yourself, by learning where you are coming from. If you like, you can read a post I wrote about our ancestors. Although, it was written in a hard time and has a sad feel to it, I hope, it’s also life ascertaininghttps://tinyexpats.com/2014/11/07/take-a-minute-to-remember/
And, of course, I will visit you again – I really like your Writer’s Quote Event, so I’ll coming over quite often :)
