It’s a well-known fact that Czechs love their hockey :) This means that ice rinks can be found in many cities, big or small, giving opportunity for the boys and girls to play hockey and go figure skating.
Čez Arena is located right in the centre of Pardubice. For those of you who like to go skating, check out the public skating timetable here (it’s a Word file called ‘Bruslení pro verejnost’). The session times can always change, depending on hockey games or concerts taking place there, so it’s always a good idea to check out this page before you go.
I’ve also found an ice-skating school here. You can drop a line in English to Olga Holubikova, oholubikova@atlas.cz and she will let you know more information about it.
I didn’t look for a hockey school, but it’s definitely there as well, as we’ve seen lots of boys with hockey gear around :)
