Don’t miss April highlights on TinyExpats!

We’re already into the second month of spring, but – guess what? – it’s been snowing for the last couple of days. And raining. Add to that strong wind and hail. Nice, isn’t it? However, I refuse to be depressed about it and will be keeping things light and cheerful this month on TinyExpats :) Here’s what I’ve got in store for you:

First of all, as I’ve already mentioned earlier here and here  I’ve been invited to be a regular contributor to EasyExpat.com and their blog portal BlogExpat.com and I will be posting links to my articles there on my blog.

– 1st Thursday of the month (2nd April) – an article for Russian speaking expats about Czech Republic; some general info about moving to this country with useful links plus a story of a Russian expat, who’s found a wonderful hobby here, which helped him both to stay in touch with his country, as well as adapt to his new home – he’s helping to find graves of soldiers considered to be lost during the WWII.

– 2nd and 4th Saturdays (11th and 25th April) of the month will be dedicated to my blog in English, Expat Kids, where I will be discussing expat kids and TCK issues with fellow expat moms.

My blog event, Show Your World, will now be a monthly feature (I somehow had to free up some time for the above projects). Now you can find my story on TinyExpats on the 1st Saturday of the month (4th April) and you can link up your posts to it up until the 3rd Saturday (18th April), when I will be posting the round up. I will share you stories on my blog and my social networks.

1st Monday (6th of April) is the usual day for my Hidden Gems project. This time I will take you to London and tell you about one of my favourite places, perfect for the summer outdoor season (yes, I’m desperate for the summer to come, so all my thoughts are about it already!). Don’t forget that this project is open to all, who would like to participate! If you know of a wonderful place, which is not the main tourist attraction – drop me a line and your story will be featured on my blog.

2nd Monday (13th April) – Travel Diary series. I will take you on a trip to HK Disneyland, which we visited with out older daughter – a wonderful place for people of all ages!

3rd Monday (20th April), as always, reserved for Trailing Spouse Stories blog crawl. This month, following April’s Fool theme, ladies will be talking about what ‘fooled’ them into becoming trailing spouses and what myths did they believe in before starting this journey. I will post my take on this topic.

4th Monday (27th April) is a Family Affair day. My sister will be back, talking about HK Disneyland (proving that it’s fun not just for kids) and about Macao – a playground for adults.

I am also planning to write a couple of posts for my Pardubice Directory and Trips in Czech Republic – adding to an already long list of great places to visit with your kids around here.

Finally, I’ll do my best not to forget blog events hosted by fellow bloggers. My plans are to participate in Writer’s Quote Wednesday, Every Day Mum and Pic’n’Post.

I hope, you’d all find something interesting for you on TinyExpats this month. If you have a story to tell about expat kids or travelling with kids and wish to have it published on my blog in a Guest Blogger section – let me know!

  1. Sounds like an interesting schedule! Looking forward to your contribution, whenever…The Pic’n’Post rules are pretty loose now, so whatever takes your fancy (well, a picture and some text, obviously).
