For Writer’s Quote Wednesday event hosted by Silver Threading, I wanted to find something about children, as I already posted photos of my children for Photo101 today, so it seemed like a good idea to continue that theme. I came across this quote by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and it was a perfect match:
A reminder for us all to let go and enjoy life like kids do, even if just for a moment.
I love The Little Prince. Every phrase, every word full of meaning, seemingly simple story with an amazingly deep meaning. Thinking about this story brings images of the Little Prince to memory – they were actually drawn by the author himself.
When you realise that this novella was written in 1943, it gives even more weight to what Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was talking about, essential values during the turbulent time of occupation. And, of course, it seems natural for a Pilot to be one of the main heroes, as flying was a lifelong passion of the writer, his life finishing with the final flight, in 1944, from which he never returned.
I love the The Little Prince too. Great choice.

What a beautiful quote! Well done! I had a hard time remembering what it was like to be a teenager when my children were driving me crazy! LOL! <3

Just remembering my student years already seems scary, if applied to my girls!

Ha Ha! LOL! You are so astute and right! You will do fine. All kids are different. It is more about independence and learning to live on one’s own, I think.
