And so we came to the last month of winter – I don’t know how about you, but I actually love this month. First of all, it’s full of birthdays – my father’s, mine, my grand aunt’s and my younger daughter’s. Party time! And it also means that winter is coming to an end and, although some of the coldest weather happened to come in February in my home town, you know that now you won’t have to wait long for all the smells and sounds of the spring – just hang in there!
Now, let’s concentrate on what February will bring for my blog. During the first 2 weeks I’ll be participating in Blogging 201 – very excited about that! I loved Blogging 101 last month and looking forward to learning a lot from this course. It will be about promoting your blog and today’s first assignment was to set 3 goals for yourself to achieve. Here’re mine:
As Blogging 201 should teach us, how to promote, then I hope the above mentioned goals should be easily achieved ;)
Other fun stuff happening would include:
– HiddenGems series – out today with a post about a lovely Chateau in France
– TravelDiary series – out on the 2nd Monday of February, this month I’ll tell you about our time in Shanghai during the Spring Festival
– Trailing Spouse Stories blog crawl – another story of an expat wife out as usual on the 3rd Monday of the month
– FamilyAffair – a new series coming up on the 4th February of the month
In between, I’m sure, there will be more assignments from Blogging 201, so I should have plenty to write about :)
Something tells me your favorite color is purple :D

Hehe … I like orange but it doesn’t come out too well on paper :)

Actually, I love green, but purple has become quite a favourite lately :)

I used to really like blue but these days it’s more orange but if it’s pen’s ink (my fountain pens especially) … only black will do

Good luck with them. I’m always vague about my targets and kind of bumble along hoping to attract new views to my honeyed words.
This seems only partially successful so I might take a page from your book and start actually writing them down.

I’ve signed up to 201 too but as I’m away in London have missed the first assignment. However reading your post it’s given me a chance to think about my goals on the long train journey home. ..

I was glad to escape to be honest. I love London but not in rush hour!

I guess, it’s true for any large city – downsides of living in a megapolis.
